- Description
- Solicitation Vacuum Chamber Subsystem I. Scope The Vacuum Chamber Subsystem will serve as replacement for an obsolete and fault prone system that is one part of a two part complete system for Final Acceptance testing of UUTs that contain sealed charges of Helium. The second existing subsystem is a Varian Helium Leak Detector. The complete system fulfills customer specifications for maximum allowed Helium leakage. II. Description A. Workspace: The workspace (as defined below) must have dimensions of at most 52" wide by 48" deep by 70" high. The workspace is defined as the floor space available to house the Vacuum Chamber Subsystem. B. Capacity: The Vacuum Chamber Subsystem vacuum housing must be at least 16" wide by 16" deep by 16" high with front viewport. The vacuum housing is defined as the volume of the area that houses the UUT in the provided vacuum pressure conditions (see Item II.F below). C. Vacuum Port: Vacuum Chamber Subsystem to provide QF25 vacuum port to be mated to existing Helium Leak Detector bellows (example in Fig. 1 below). This port will be located at 25" from the rear and 31" from the bottom of the Vacuum Chamber Subsystem. Figure 1 - Vacuum Chamber Subsystem (Upper Left) and Helium Leak Detector Subsystem (Lower Right) Vacuum Connection D. Chamber Seals: The Vacuum Chamber Subsystem must be accessed by a hinged front door with vacuum seals installed and a sealing latch. E. Vacuum Gauge: System must include vacuum gauge(s) capable of measuring from atmospheric pressure to 10-10 torr. F. Vacuum Pumps: The vacuum pumping capacity must be at 260 l/sec and provided by an air cooled pump system capable of establishing a base vacuum pressure of 5x10-7 torr. G. Power: 208VAC, 50/60Hz, single phase, 3 wire, 30 Amps. H. Water Cooling: No water cooling will be necessary. I. Control: The system shall include a digital control device. i. Control provided via touch screen. ii. Single button pump down and venting capability. III. Training - After installation is complete, training is not required. IV. Documentation - The contractor shall provide any documentation required to operate and maintain the system. All original manuals and certificates will be provided to the government. These documents include the user's manual, periodic maintenance instructions, calibration certificates, etc. V. Warranty - All pieces of the total system shall be warranted against manufacturer's defects for at least one year after delivery. This warranty shall include parts and labor. An extension of this warranty up to 3 years shall be included in the purchase price along with yearly calibration if the unit proposed requires it. VI. Delivery - The contractor shall arrange delivery of the system to the address below. XXXXXXXXXXXX Tobyhanna Army Depot 11 Hap Arnold Blvd. Tobyhanna, PA 18466 VII.
