Description
STATEMENT OF WORK - CALS TRAINING SEPT 29-OCT-2-2015 The U.S. Department of State, Office of Acquisitions, intends to issue a Sole Source purchase order to Comprehensive Advanced Life Support, 717 Delaware Street, SE, Suite 508, Minneapolis, MN 55414 for training in Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) and American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for incoming Medical Providers (MP-NP/PAs) and Regional Medical Officers (RMOs). Services to be performed shall include: a custom designed medical emergency training course for MED personnel to be held on September 29 - October 2, 2015 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The vendor will provide CALS introduction and CALS intensive training for newly hired MPs and RMOs. All participants (up to 15) will be provided training and all training materials to complete requirements for BLS provider and instructor course completion cards. Medical Providers (MP-NP/PAs) and Regional Medical Officers (RMOs) will participate in a four (4) day custom-designed CALS medical emergency training program. The training will include a two-day CALS provider course, a 4-hour CALS trauma skills module, a high-fidelity simulation laboratory to include trauma scenarios (adult/pediatric), an invasive procedure (cadaver) laboratory, and the AHA BLS Health Care Instructor/Heart Saver course, including all required AHA materials and online courses. The vendor shall provide documentation of participation and AHA completion cards to all participants who successfully complete the BLS instructor training. The vendor will ensure that the training provided is certified for award of CME contact hours and must provide a breakdown of specific pharmaceutical hours. The vendor shall provide CME certificates upon completion of the training. All BLS/Heart Saver training will be in accordance with the American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines. The NAICS code is 611430 a firm fixed price contract is anticipated. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 USC 1901, FAR 13.501 Special documentation requirements. This is for information purpose only.
