Description
This Sources Sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Solicitation and is not to be considered as a commitment by the Government. All firms responding to this sources sought notice are advised that their response to this notice is not a request that will be considered for contract award. The information from this market research is for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 333413. The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of qualified commercial sources technically capable of providing the below: The Cooling/System Unit must have the salient characteristics: oHighly engineered, mobile, outdoor, and environmental units for use during hot weather. oProvides 5 days of cooling per fill. oMust have a 100 gallon water tank without the use of a water hose connection oProvide oscillate to cool a larger area up to 4,500 square feet outdoors by as much as 27 degrees oDoes not get users wet oUnit must be able to move air up to 70 feet and be portable with at least 8 inches wheels in order to increase work efficiency in extreme heat conditions both indoors and outdoors oSystem must be small in size and can be placed at any point anywhere within vehicle lanes at any ACP. oEasy to set-up and take down, energy efficient and quiet, and virtually maintenance free. Potential offerors having the ability to provide the product described are invited to provide a statement via e-mail. The statements shall not exceed five (5) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, etc.); and 4) Ability to provide the product. Responses are due no later than 09:00 A.M., 24 August 2015 and shall be electronically submitted to Denise L. Richardson at denise.l.richardson4.mil@mail.mil. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Response is strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests.
