Description
Single Source Justification Synopsis: The Bureau of Reclamation intends to negotiate a sole source contract with GE Bently Nevada for the items listed below: •(47) - 330701-00-40-10-01-00 3300 11mm proximity probe - ½ - 20 •(47) - 330780-51-00 3300 XL Proximitor •(47) - 330730-040-00-00 3300 XL 11mm Extension Cable •(21) - 400102-01 50mm Air Gap 2 inch Sensors •(21) - 400100-100-02 Proximitor Air Gap Sensors •(21) - 400130-100 Air Gap 50 mm Extension Cable Products must have American Petroleum Institute (API) Standard 670, which covers the minimum requirements for a machinery vibration system. (API Standard 670 is required for all hydropower installations in Reclamation) Must have 160 mils of linear range greater or equal to, starting at 20 mils. (This is required since some of our generators have a large linear range and probes under this specification will not work.) Must have at least a 8 kHz frequency response, with 3db and up to 1,000 feet of field wiring. (The 8 kHz frequency response will be needed in order to capture the shaft at deviation while it is spinning with enough resolution to do calculations in the TSC Machine Condition Monitoring software) The system length must be greater or equal to 5 meters including extension cable. ( The 5 meter cable will allow enough length to bring the signals to a junction box, without making any splices) The maximum power consumption must be less than or equal to 12 mA. (This low power consumption will allow us to buy a smaller power supply and will use less energy over time.) The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. If firms believe they have the technical capability to meet this need, submit a technical capability statement along with business profile to Mrs. Christina Mohamed at cmohamed@usbr.gov within 3 days of this notice. Any information received will be treated as market research information towards future similar or same requirement. Quotations or proposals received in response to this notice will not be accepted since this synopsis is not a request for quote or a request for proposal.
