Description

This is a PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY, this is not a Request for Quote (RFQ): The purpose of this notice is to announce that the Department of Veterans Affairs, Huntington VA Medical Center has a requirement for removal and disposal/recycling of solid waste. The types of waste/recycling may include: general waste, scrap metal, cardboard, plastics, wet garbage, construction debris (including brick, mortar, stone, wood, metal, etc.), scrap furnishing/equipment, ground care debris (grass clippings, leaves, etc.), glass or glassware. No regulated medical waste, radioactive waste or hazardous chemical waste will be included in this requirement. The potential contractor must assume full responsibility for compliance with all Federal, State, County and City laws, rules and regulations that govern the collection of disposal of waste and recyclable materials. Full contract requirements will be set forth in the formal solicitation. The resultant contract will be for a base plus an additional (4) one-year option periods. The applicable North American Classification Code (NAICS) is 56211 with a small business size standard of $38.5 Million. A Firm Fixed Price, RFQ solicitation will be issued electronically through Fed Biz Opportunities (FBO) on or about August 25, 2015 as Full and Open Competition. All potential offeror's MUST be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM) site at https://www.sam.gov at the time of award. The point of contact for this action is Ms. Katrina Cruz, Katrina.Cruz@va.gov. Contractors shall not contact any other Government personnel regarding this notice. Contacting any Government personnel other than the individual designated above may result in an organizational conflict of interest and may result in a contractor being excluded from the competition and consideration for this award.
