- SOW The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) announces its intention to procure a pod lift to manufacture, deliver, install, and calibrate in the High-Energy Attack Technique Radiation (HEATR) test lab. The HEATR pod lift requirement is for a mechanical means to lift and maneuver Electronic Attack (EA) Pods within the HEATR facility. The HEATR Pod Lift will provide a means to effectively and realistically test the EA pods which will lead to better performance. The HEATR Pod Lift has unique specification requirements such as weight capacity, lift height, precise position control and the ability to connect to existing frame assemblies. The HEATR Pod Lift will allow the means to accurately position and/or maneuver the EA pods needed to simulate flight scenarios. THIS SOURCES SOUGHT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to determine potential and eligible firms, of all sizes, capable of providing the supplies described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. The responses to this Sources Sought will be utilized to determine if any small business set aside opportunities exist. he applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 336413 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. The anticipated Product Service Code (PSC) for this requirement is 1730. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. The contract type is anticipated to be Firm Fixed Price (FFP). The pod lift shall be built at the contractor's facility and delivered and installed at the NAWCWD Point Mugu, CA as specified in the SOW. REQUIREMENTS See attached SOW. Interested parties are requested to submit a brief capabilities statement (no more than ten (10) 8.5 X 11 inch pages in length, 12 point font minimum). 1. Demonstrate the ability to provide the product described above. 2. Company profile to include number of employees, annual revenue history, office location(s), DUNS number, and indicate whether they are a large business or qualify as a Small, Small Disadvantaged, Small Disadvantaged Veteran Owned Small Business, Women-Owned, 8(a), Hub Zone or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concern. Your response to this Sources Sought, including any capabilities statement, shall be electronically submitted to the Contract Specialist, Matthew Minnick, in either Microsoft Word (fully compatible with Microsoft office 2003) or Portable Document Format (PDF), via email at matthew.p.minnick@navy.mil.
