- Description
- The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the purchase of forty (40) TWIC Card Reader Secure Gate Ports MC75A v2 or higher, pre-approved on TSA's Qualified Technology List (QTL). This reader has a Biometric (thumbprint/fingerprint) Interface, a contact and contactless Card Interface, 4 Authentication Modes with 1 configurable mode, monitors the Card Cancellation List (CCL), is Harsh Conditions certified and has multiple software versions approved. Accordingly, the TSA intends to award a contract to idSoftware Identification Management Systems, LLC / 301 North Main Street Suite 1005 / Greenville, SC 29601. This contract will address the requirements of the Office of Security Operations (OSO), Compliance Programs, Surface Compliance Branch (SCB). The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
