Description
Performance-Based Work Statement Synopsis: Notice: This is not a solicitation but rather a Sources Sought Synopsis to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes only. The purpose of the Sources Sought is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is : 332813 Electroplating, Plating, Polishing, Anodizing, and Coloring, which has a corresponding size standard of 500 employees. The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Hubzone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. The government requests that interested parties respond to this notice, if applicable, and identify your small business status to the identified NAICS code. Additionally, please provide any anticipated teaming arrangements, along with a description of similar services offered to the Government and to commercial customers for the past three years. Any responses involving team agreements should delineate between the work that will be accomplished by the prime and the work accomplished by the teaming partners. Program Details: The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate is conducting market research to determine the existence of potential small business sources to provide required personnel, equipment, parts, tools, materials, supervision and services necessary to apply the finishes per associated specifications listed in Table 1 to the parts listed in Appendix B per the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and work instructions provided by the government for each lot. A sample work instruction is provided in Appendix D of the PWS. The work will be performed for Hill Air Force Base, Utah. The requirement will be in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The information in this notice is based on the best and most current information available to date. This information is subject to change and is not binding to the Government. Updated information will be provided in future announcements and posted electronically on the Federal Business opportunities homepage at www.fbo.gov. The Government shall not reimburse the costs of preparing responses to this request for information. The Ogden Air Logistics Complex Contracting Directorate (AFMC), Hill Air Force Base (AFB), Utah, intends to issue a formal RFP in September 2015 time frame for the acquisition of services required for this effort at Hill AFB, UT. The estimated contract period is November 18, 2015 to November 17, 2020. The Government requests interested parties submit a brief statement of current capability to perform these services to include the requested information below. Please limit your submissions to five pages. •1. Company name, point of contact, email address, telephone, type of business and size. •2. The largest parts to be plated are approximately 34 inches in diameter and 72 inches long, what capacity do you have to perform the finishes required for these large items? •3. Provide a summary of chrome free conversion services your company has performed on similar equipment. •4. What certifications do you provide for your services? •5. What is the standard turnaround time to perform chrome free conversion coat and solid film lubricant for a lot? •6. How close are your plating facilities to Hill AFB?
