Description
The NAICS for this procurement is 238390. Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD), Port Hueneme, California intends to solicit and negotiate with only two (2) qualified approved sources in accordance with NAVSEA Source Control Drawing 5494026 Rev H, and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). A Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract is anticipated to be issued on a Lowest Proposal Technical Acceptable (LPTA) basis. The contractor is to provide an estimated ninety-six (96) vibration and shock isolators, in support to the Ship Defense and Expeditionary Warfare Department. The shock isolator being procured are unique critical assembly used on the Rolling Airframe Missile (RAM) MK49 Mode 3 Guided Missile Launching System (GMLS) providing a means to absorb shocks and vibration to the Guided Missile Launcher (GML) and must meet MIL-S-901D shock requirements. The Period of Performance is 126 days after receipt of contract. Any firm believing that they can provide the shock isolators, per part number, may submit a written response to be received at the Contracting Office no later than 10 days after the date of publication of this notice. It must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy or reliability of the part without causing programmatic hardship. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
