- REQUEST FOR INFORMATION Procurement of JP8 / Jet A1 Introduction In accordance with FAR 15.201, this request for information (RFI) is being issued to obtain price, delivery, other market information, or capabilities for planning purposes. The Government does not presently intend to award a contract, and responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Specifically, the Government seeks information with regard to an anticipated upcoming requirement for JP8 NSN: 9130-01-031-5816 and Jet A1, NSN: 9130-00-753-5026. Information for Interested Parties The Government has an anticipated upcoming 2017 requirement for JP8/Jet A1 for the following locations in Japan: 1) Kadena Air Base 2) Misawa Air Base 3) Yokota Air Base. Information Requested Given the above information, the Government requests that any interested party respond to the following questions: 1) Could you have the capability to produce Jet A1 for use at Kadena Air Base, Misawa Air Base, and Yokota Air Base in 2017? If so: a) Where are the storage/refinery locations? b) What is the maximum barrel per day quantity from each storage location to each air base? 2) Could you have the capability to inject Fuel System Icing Inhibitor (FSII), Corrosion Inhibitor (CI) and Static Dissipation Additive (SDA) in 2017? If so: a) How may gallons per day of Jet A1 with additives could be produced? b) Where would the additives be injected (e.g. upstream of Jet A1 storage, or downstream of Jet A1 storage?)
