Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. THIS PROJECT IS RESTRICTED TO THE FIVE (5) PREVIOUSLY SELECTED MATOC CONTRACTORS ONLY. THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY THEREFORE FAR 5.203 DOES NOT APPLY. IDIQ MATOC TASK ORDER for the Renovation of B1990 at Scott AFB, IL. The five (5) MATOC Contractors and current contract numbers are as follows: W912QR-14-D-0011 FLW-TJC, JV W912QR-14-D-0012 H2L1-CSC JV, LLC W912QR-14-D-0013 Ma-Chis Kawv V, LLC W912QR-14-D-0014 Tunheim Construction W912QR-14-D-0015 A&H-Ambica JV, LLC Small Arms Range Bldg 701, Restoration and Modernization Repair: Remove target retrieval system from all 22 firing lanes, remove existing 9 steel trusses and associated overhead baffles and replace them with 24 baffles supported on steel structural support systems to reduce the Surface Danger Zone (SDZ) of the range. Construct and install new baffles at locations to provide minimum 6 quote mark overlap required by ETL 11-18: Small Arms Range Design and Construction (dated 19 April 2011). Construct the new plywood covered steel plate baffles per ETL 11-18 criteria and additionally cover the baffles' plywood faces with egg-crate foam sound panels. Set bottom of baffles to minimum of 8 feet above firing platform elevation and secure to concrete side walls with continuous steel angles to prevent bullet escapement. Install new ribbed acoustic rubber panels at the rear wall of the range behind the firing line and to underside of the roof from the firing line back to roof/wall interface, covering as much of those surfaces as feasible.
