Description
The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Western Business Service Center's Northern Great Plains Research Laboratory is in need of a used self-propelled small grain combine. This combine will be used primarily for the harvest of small grain such as spring wheat, winter wheat, oats, barley, sunflowers, canola, triticale, crambe, dry beans, soybeans, and flax. Combine will be a 2000 model or newer with no more than 2500 separator hours. Minimum Specifications 1. Pressurized Cab with air conditioning and heater with air suspension operator seat and driver-training seat. 2. Hydrostatic drive w/at least 3 gears forward and 1 reverse 3. Turbo charged diesel engine with a minimum of 290 hp. 4. Minimum of 250 gal. fuel tank. 5. Electronically controlled fuel injection and fuel shutoff. 6. Rotary screen engine air intake. 7. Adjustable rear axle. 8. Stone protection for rotor and concave. 9. Reversible feeder mechanism with push button electro-hydraulic shift engagement. 10. General purpose adjustable sieve and chaffer w/settings for above listed crops. 11. Rotary must turn 210 to at least 1000 rpm with dual range separator drive. 12. Rotary rpm gauge, shaft monitors for straw chopper, straw walkers, clean grain elevators, tailing auger, and conveyer auger. 13. Fine cut straw chopper capable of spreading straw and chaff a minimum of 25 ft. 14. Shall have concave and rotor adjustments from cab. 15. Hydraulic retractable unloading auger, minimum 20 ft. length. 16. Rasp bar-type rotary cylinder and minimum diameter of 33 inch. 17. Minimum of 20 separator grate covers. 18. Grain tank capacity of at least 250 bushels. 19. Minimum drive tire size shall be: 30.5L-32-in. 20. Header shall be a flex floating cutter bar with sickle and pickup reel with a working width of 30 ft. 21. Combine must accept a John Deere 653 6-row all-crop head, and 6-row corn head, and 20ft straight head. (Agency's headers are quick-attach. )22. Must have working turn signals, halogen lights, flashing ambers and SMV sign. 23. Operator's manual 24. Instrument panel equipped with fuel gauge, hour meter, volt meter (gauge or light), engine coolant temperature gauge, and oil pressure gauge or light. 25. Delivery of machine to Research Lab in Mandan, ND. FOB Destination.
