Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) has a requirement for 50 each DC Strain Gage Conditioner Module for Bow Bulb program. The DC Strain Gage Conditioner Modules are for testing Bow Bulb testing and are available through the manufacturer, Daytronic Corporation of Miamisburg, OH. The NAICS code is 334513 and the business size is 500 employees. The proposed purchase order is being solicited on a sole-source basis to Daytronic Corporation. The proposed action is for the procurement of DC Strain Gage Conditioner Module for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). The basis for restricting competition is for the following reasons: Daytronic Corporation DC Strain Gage Conditioner Modules are programmable to include the gain, excitation, filters, zero-span and shunt activation and are compact for use in a NEMA 4X enclosure sized 12 x 10 x 6" or smaller containing 8 units per box. Additionally, it has the flexibility to be remotely calibrated and reprogrammed at any time during testing. The NSWCCD intends to award a firm fixed-price purchase order to Daytronic Corporation using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Interested parties may identify their interest to this requirement by submitting a capabilities statement no later than 10 September 2015. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received by 09/10/2015 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries should be directed to Doug Pohlman at douglas.pohlman@navy.mil.
