- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Auke Bay Laboratories has a requirement. The objective of this order is to provide landscape maintenance support for the Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute Provide landscape maintenance and for Auke Bay Laboratories at Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute in Juneau, Alaska. The contractor will be need to schedule the appropriate number of hours and personnel to conduct the following tasks on a WEEKLY BASIS at the Ted Stevens Marine Research Institute in Juneau, Alaska for the amount of time indicated within the solicitation. Perform landscape services each year from September to September, to include the following tasks: Weekly mowing and electric weeding grass area and rock area next to UAF (UAF Facility is not included) •· This task is to be performed weekly. •· 3-4 man hours is the Estimate for this task. •· Remove all grass clipings and ensure surrounding area is clean. •· Key Card Swipe is required at entry and exit each time this task is performed to verify receipt of weekly service. A specific Key Card will be issued to Contractor for tis specific task. Weekly Weeding and Pruning Pulling Weeds in landscaped areas: Weeding of rock beds in front of TSMRI building. Weeding of rock beds around entrance gate. Weeding of Plaza behind TSMRI building. Weeding of Path area across from TSMRI. Remove any garbage and small debris from landscaped areas. •· This task is listed in order of Priority above (A-E). •· 4-8 man hours each week is the Minimum amount of time that must be provided for this task in order to stay on top of weeds in all areas identified. •· Remove all weeds, pruned clippings, and dead vegetation. •· Key Card Swipe is required at entry and exit each time this task is performed to verify receipt of weekly service. A specific Key Card will be issued to Contractor for tis specific task. Base Year allows for 3 weeks of service September and October 2015, and 22 weeks of service April 2016 through September 2016. Fall work must be completed before ground freezes. Option Year allows for 1 to 2 week of service September and October 2016, and 20 to 21 weeks of service April 2017 through September 2017. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued in immediately.
