- Description
- This notice of proposed contract action is for the procurement of a Tangent Support Service Agreement for the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR). The Government is seeking maintenance contract services for the Timeplex Equipment. Specific requirements may include, but are not limited to warrantee repair and maintenance support on Timeplex Microlink/2+ Nodes, Timeplex Minilink/2+ Nodes, Timeplex Link/2+ Nodes and associated hardware, and diagnostic helpdesk support. The Government intends on awarding a sole source contract. This acquisition is contemplated as sole source under authority of FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements (10 USC 2304(c)(1)), to Tangent Communications. The Government requires performance of the maintenance services for one year after contract award. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. Any capability statement will need to demonstrate how the source can provide the Timeplex equipment maintenance services that meet or exceed the government requirements as stated above. The date of response to this synopsis is fifteen (15) days after the date of this synopsis publication. An Ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns of offerors or potential offerors. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Matters of routine or administrative nature concerning this acquisition should not be addressed to the Ombudsman, but rather to the Contracting points of contact identified above.
