- Description
- Clauses Salient characteristics.1 The contractor shall deliver One (1) high-temperature air-jet erosion tester to Aberdeen proving ground(APG) that meets the following requirements: C.1.1 The system must be capable of producing air-jet temperatures from ambient to 1000 °C or more. C.1.2 The system must be capable of producing particle velocities from a minimum of 30 m/s to at least 150 m/s or higher. C.1.3 The system must be capable of varying the erodent/particle feed rate from 1 to 5 grams/minute( g/min ) or more. C.1.4 The system must include a motorized system to set the angle of incidence from 0° - 90°. The angle of incidence will be fixed during sample exposure. C.1.5 The system must include a digital timer/controller for automatic test duration. C.1.6 The system must include meters and sensors to measure the air-jet temperature, particle/air-jet velocity and feed rate continuously during the test. C.1.7 The system must be able to accommodate standard and user-selected abrasive media, including media containing sub-micrometer particulates. C.1.8 The system must include a sub-system that separates dust/waste materials from the exhaust air-stream, and confines the dust/waste materials for future disposal per Army Regulation AR 200-1 - Environmental Protection and Enhancement and APG Regulation APGR 200-60 - APG Hazardous Waste Management Plan C.1.9 The system must include a set of sample holders and adapters to accommodate non-standard geometries, and high-temperature (1000 °C or higher) testing, at various angles of incidence (at least 6 or more incidence angle settings from 0 degrees to 90 degrees). C.1.10 The system must include a set of at least 3 or more high-temperature resistant nozzles. C.1.11 The system must include one (1) set of particle, moisture, and dust filters for the compressed air supply. C.1.12 The Contractor shall provide on-site installation and training. C.1.13 The Contractor shall provide two (2) copies of the operator's manual. C.1.14 The Contractor shall provide a full warranty on the High-temperature Air-jet Erosion Tester for one (1) year, beginning the first day after post-installation acceptance by the Technical Point of Contact. C.1.15 The Contractor shall ensure the warranty includes the replacement of all defective parts at no additional cost to the Government and a response time of 48 hours from the time the Government calls or emails in a request for service to diagnose and propose a plan to repair the High-tempature Air-jet Erosion Tester. C.1.16 The Contractor shall ensure the warranty includes at least one (1) preventive maintenance visit and up to two (2) on-site emergency visits at no additional cost to the Government C.1.17 The Contractor shall provide a calibration mechanism
