Description
Please see attached questions and answers. Question 1: -Order period starts 9/21, 10 days after award, how is that possible to have the re-write completed? Can you post an expected timeline of project from start to finish? Answer: Contract is awarded for Fiscal Year 2015 but will carry through calendar year 2016. Textbook is written first, followed by developing the Instructor Guide and Companion Website. This normally takes a total of 18 months. Mods will be implemented to accommodate timeline. Question 2: -Who owns the rights to the content now? It is a Pearson custom book. Answer: Pearson did write the first commercial textbook, however this is a new contract and much of the material in the textbook and IG's were provided by the AFJROTC program. Question 3: -Who will be providing the content for the re-write? Answer: This will be a combination between the awarded contractor and AFJROTC curriculum. AFJROTC Instructional System Designers will be the gatekeepers ensuring what is provided is in fact edited in regards to everything in the contract. There is 100% oversight for this contract. Question 4: -What percentage of the content will come from AFRJOTC and what percentage of content will need to be created by vendor? Answer: A minimum of 75% will come from existing textbook and 25% (or as needed) will need to be created by the vendor for the textbook. The entire revision will be in the 21st Century format, to include content for a Companion Website from scratch. Lesson plans will require 100% overhaul and 21st Century updates to include: Classroom Performance System (CPS), test banks, power point slides, vocabulary, a minimum of four activities for every lesson will have to be designed on Instructor Guide DVDs as to allow technology interaction is provided for the staff and students using the clicker system designed by CPS now referred to as Turning Technologies. Project base learning will also be developed for every chapter. TSgt Holmly - 334-953-4745
