Description

DRAFT Delivery Order Solicitation. Past Performance Questionnaire The contractor shall deliver remote controls in accordance with the Technical Specifications & Production Requirements. The remote shall give patrons the ability to read materials, provided by National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS), using built-in keypad of the DTBM. The remote control delivered during the base year shall use infra-red (IR) communication and consist of two components (a hand-held transmitter and receiver connected to the DTBM.) The contractor shall obtain and maintain all product certifications required by the remote control for operation as a consumer electronic device. The contractor shall report the required certifications to the NLS, based on the proposed design of the remote control. It is anticipated that, at a minimum the remote control will require certification under 47 CFR §15 part B rules of the Federal Communications Commission for unintentional radiators. The contractor shall determine other certifications required, if any, and propose a schedule to obtain these certifications. The contractor shall develop all required tooling, production/test equipment and procedures required to deliver the remote control.
