Description
Updated Conform Solicitation Amendment 2 PWS is updated with the Removal furniture quantities. End Product Country MFR is updated. Site Visit is scheduled on 2nd September, 2015 at 09:00AM at Bldg 629. Sample Pictures are provided in Attachment 5. UPDATES AS OF 11 SEPTEMBER 2015: Answer to Question #16 has changed from +/- 4 inches to +/- 2 inches. Amendment 2 is issued. Please refer the updated conform RFQ. When submitting your quote, please sign the original RFQ and Amendment 1 and Amendment 2 and send them along with your quote package to chogo.kameya.jp@us.af.mil. Will the furniture for removal be the same quantity and size of new? If different please provide details. A1. Please find the update PWS. It tells disposal furniture list as follows: Beds (mix of Full and Twin): 196 (Twin beds include mattress and three piece frame) (Full beds include mattress, box spring, and two piece frame with headboard) Desks: 196 Desk Chairs: 200 Nightstands: 200 Table (as shown): 190 2 Drawer dressers: 400 Q2. How many floors in the building? Will elevators be available to installers? Will building be occupied? A2. There are four floors in all bldgs., there will not be elevators, however the side exterior staircases allow for lift truck style access. The building will be occupied, however the tenants will have removed their belongings from the existing furniture prior to removal. Q3. Can trucks with containers for offloading be parked at site? If yes, how many feet from building? A3. Trucks for containers can be parked at the site, and will be no closer than 30' from the bldg. due to lot/drive restrictions. These trucks will be subject to available space and fire lane rules. There will likely be room for no more than two trucks at any given time. Space cannot be guaranteed for additional trucks. Q4. Can official letter of invitation or travel order be included base privileges - (exchange, commissary, lodging? A4. No invitation or travel orders issued. Q5. What is the amount of days allotted for the installation? A5. Approximately 30 days to 45 maximum for installation timeframe is currently scheduled. Q6. If project is funded, when is the estimated date project will be scheduled? A6. 120 Days from the date of award. Q7. Are there lounges, or large open areas for staging on each floor or is it possible to escalator loading furniture through windows, rather than stair carry? A7. There are lounges and various spaces for staging, however this is limited and cannot be guaranteed due to habitation of the bldg. and existing use of those areas. As much space as can be afforded with all available cooperation will be granted. As for escalator loading, this will work best via the exterior stairwells vs. straight to each room. The window size might not allow for all items. Q8. Is there a specific time or day that the installer can complete site visit? Or can we call to make appointment? A8. There will be only one site visit scheduled, 2 September 2015 at 09:00AM at bldg. 629. Q9 Flat Desk w/ 3 Drawers - the picture provided has a study carrel. Is one required? If so, is task light and tack board required as well? A9. Study carrel is not required. The requirement this time is only for desk portion. Q10 Specification calls for inset brass pulls. The picture provided does not have them. Are they required? A10. Yes, inset brass pulls are required. Q11 Does the drawers in the desk require inset brass pulls? A11. Desk drawers in the desk also require inset brass pulls. Q12. How many stairwells and their width? A12. The stairs are 55" wide. There are stairs on the exterior with landings on each floor that are 110"x55". Q13. Are the building entry doors single or double? A13. The entry doors on the sides are single doors, the entry doors in the front and back main floor using the central stairwell is double doors. Q14. Is the building forklift accessible? A14. These are forklift accessible but the third and fourth floor may be too high for forklifts and might require a bigger lift. Q15. How far is the DRMO from the building? A15. DRMO is located in another military installation about 15 miles away from the building. Q16. Some of the line items have approximate dimensions (0006, 0007, 0008). Do you have tolerances you wish the dimensions stay within? A16. The dimensions should stay within +/- 2 inches
