The contractor's work will provide HUD with the field/site data necessary to make informed decisions regarding the construction phase of HUD's MHF mortgage insurance underwriting and capital advance programs. The CIS MFH procurement supports HUD Priority Goal Utilize housing as a platform for improving quality of life. The contractor will perform construction inspection services in the Southeast Region : Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Puerto Rico HUD intends to procure construction inspection services according to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 - Commercial Acquisition. The type of contract will be a combination Firm-fixed-price/Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite Quantity contract. HUD intends to award up to two (2) contracts as a result of this solicitation, but reserves its right to award less than 2 contracts. The ordering period will be five years. The competition requirement for this acquisition is FAR section 6.204 - Section 8(a) Competition : Acquisition is limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541310 Architectural Services and the corresponding size standard is $7.5 Million for this requirement. Eligibility to participate is available to 8(a) firms who are either in the developmental and transitional stages. The Small Business Administration (SBA) has accepted this requirement into the 8(a) program and the assigned SBA Number is 0507/15/504696. The solicitation and amendment will be available to all eligible 8(a) firms and should be acquired through Federal Business Opportunities (FBO). The government anticipates the solicitation will be available for downloading within thirty (30) days after publication of this announcement. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor FBO for the release of the solicitation and amendments. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading the solicitation and all attachments.
