Sources Sought Notice- National Contracts Standardization Program The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation. Offers are not being solicited at this time. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this request for information. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Acquisition Center is conducting market research to assess industry capabilities for distribution of the Pharmaceutical Drug MELATONIN Tablets, under NAICS Code 325412, to VA and other Government Agencies (OGAs). The VA is seeking responses to this request for information from interested, capable firms that can meet the requirements set forth below. STRENGTHS: 0.3mg, 1mg, 3mg, and 5mg, must be certified* *Product must be certified by a company such as USP (USP Verified), ConsumerLab (CL Approved), NSF International (NSF Mark), Natural Products Association [NPA] (TruLabel) or other company which provides a physical inspection of the manufacturing site and assurance that the product was properly manufactured, that it contains the ingredients listed on the label in the stated amounts and that it does not contain harmful contaminants. Offerors would be required to provide a copy of the certification with their proposal and be able to maintain certification throughout the award if an award was made. o Is your firm currently selling the following strengths commercially? If so, please indicate bottle sizes available____________________________________________________________ o If not currently not selling the requested strengths, how long will it take for your company to be able to provide the required line items?_________________________________ o Is your firm currently selling all unit of use package sizes with a child proof closure (safety cap) and a bottle with a minimum required size of 100cc volume. The safety cap must not exceed the diameter of the bottle. The bottle must have a cylindrical body and minimum of 5.75" circumference. The bottle must fit a label with dimensions of 5.25" x 2". The 0.5" additional space is required to keep the bar code exposed and/or allow for the display of the expiration date and lot number._________________________________________________ o Would your firm be able participate in a National Contract?________________________ o If not the manufacturer of the product, is your firm able to provide a Letter of Commitment from the manufacturer?________________________________________________ DISCLAIMER This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation.
