Description
STATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT The Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, FL has a requirement for one Axio Microscope and related equipment for use by the Research Department to support an ongoing study. This microscope must have the salient characteristics (specifications) described below to ensure compatibility with existing equipment/systems and provide the unique capabilities required for this highly technical study. The Carl Zeiss Axio Observer Z1 Microscope has been identified as meeting the specifications of this requirement and is listed for reference purposes. Vendors may submit offers for alternative items, but must submit, with their offer, documentation which clearly establishes in the opinion of the US Government Contracting Officer that the item(s) offered meet or exceed the salient characteristics of this requirement in all relevant form, fit and function. The salient characteristics of this requirement are: 1. Must be compatible with ZEN software. 5. ZEN Module: Vendor must provide the ZEN software/licenses listed below. Zen 2 pro US Hardware License Key Allows the following to be occurring with this microscope system: Image acquisition and processing under Win 7x64. User interface configurable, control of the Carl Zeiss microscope systems and components extensive acquisition and analysis. CZI format. Modules should include ZEN Module measurement and Zen module multi-channel. ZEN Module Autofocus SW License Key Allows the following to be occurring with this microscope system: Module allows for determination of the optimal focus position in the sample. The autofocus works with transmitted, reflected and fluorescence light. Definition of an autofocus region in the camera image. ZEN Module Tiles & Position Hardware License Key. Module for automatic scanning of predefined sample areas, plus acquisition of images according to a position list. Supports focus correction maps, stitching and shading correction. Compatible with software autofocus. The image acquisition using this module can be combined with the ZEN modules Z-Stack, Time Lapse, Multi-Channel and Experiment Designer. ZEN Module Z Stack Hardware License Key Module for acquisition of Z Stacks with the aid of motorized focus drive. Definition of the Z-stack via "start/stop" and "center". Smallest step size which can be defined as 10nm. ZEN Module Time Lapse Hardware License Key. Module allows for acquisition of time series (time-lapse). Definition of intervals, total duration or number of cycles. Control via time, trigger or manually; synchronization with bleach events. 6. APOTOME: Structured Illumination System - Allows Optical Sectioning for Fluorescent (FL) 7. Installation of the microscope on-site. 8. Initial training on the use of the installed microscope. Vendors should include warranty information with their quote. Failure to do so may result in not receiving full credit for same during the evaluation process.
