Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 20 (NCO 20) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy the agency requirement to Advanced Sterilization Products (ASP), Division of Ethicon US, LLC, a Johnson & Johnson Company, 33 Technology Drive Irvin, CA 92618. The Period of Performance of the contract is for the Base Year from November 1, 2015 Plus Two (2) Option Years Period. The service is for STERRAD NX Sterilizer with serial number: 10033060746. This equipment is unique and suites for specific sterilization. It sterilizes by diffusing hydrogen peroxide vapor into the chamber and then electromagnetically exciting the hydrogen peroxide molecules into a low-temperature plasma. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; nonetheless, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by September 25, 2015, 4:00 p.m. (PST). Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to susan.delacruz@va.gov.
