- Solicitation for General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service GS-02-P-15-DT-C-7001. Design Build Contract for Walnut Street Entrance Enhancements and Improvements to the 1st Floor HVAC System THE ANTICIPATED PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESSES CONCERNS ONLY. The General Services Administration (GSA) announces the release of a Request for Proposals that will result in a design/build ("DB") contract that includes services required to improve security, visitor queuing, visitor screening and the energy efficiency at the Walnut St. entrance for the Peter W. Rodino Jr. FOB ("Rodino") Newark, New Jersey. The contractor shall also provide complete DB services to correct deficiencies and improve the energy efficiency of the Rodino lobby Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning ("HVAC"). Upon design approval the contractor shall provide any and all constructions services and ensure the construction is accomplished in accordance with the construction documents, schedule, budget and other requirements contained in the DB contract. Also included are the following options that GSA can exercise at its discretion. These options include, but are not limited to requirements such as: electrical work in the building's sub-basement, application of an epoxy waterproofing membrane to a rooftop mechanical room floor, refurbishment of the building's freight elevators, painting, wall repairs and cleaning of the childcare facility, and limited build-out of temporary office space within the building. Certain specifications and attachments have been determined to be "Sensitive But Unclassified", and required controlled access. These attachments are attached to this solicitation. GSA anticipates holding a pre-proposal conference and site visit on Tuesday, June 9, at 8:00am at the "Rodino" building. If you intend to attend this conference and site visit, please contact Andreea Surdu at andreea.surdu@gsa.gov no later than June 5th to confirm attendance and to receive more details.
