- Description
- The Government received the following questions regarding the subject solicitation. 1. All signs indicate that the solicitation number is N68335-15-R-0155 (e.g. on the fbo.gov website, in email correspondence, etc.). However, it is listed as N68335-15-R-0140 in the solicitation document (form 1449). Which number is correct? 2. In the solicitation document, Solicitation_N68335-15-R-0140_-_Vector_Network_Analyzers.docx, the maximum units shown on pages 3- 10 do not match the units in the CLIN table on page 48 section M, part B 3.0 price/cost. The overall total is the same (432); however, the breakdown between both the CLINs and the units themselves does not correspond. Which one is correct? 3. In CSS 15-352-030 Ver 1.0, paragraph 3.3.5 - what is the main concern regarding the non-magnetic RF connector? Is a low-magnetic (e.g. Nirosta, stainless steel, etc.) connector acceptable? 4. In CSS 15-352-030 Ver 1.0, paragraph 3.4 - is an IEEE-STD-488 interface essential to have? or is a LAN interface only acceptable? 5. In CSS 15-352-030 Ver 1.0, paragraph 3.8.6 - we understand the bench handling test is defined in MIL-PRF-28800 for instruments. The components in the mechanical calibration kit are open/short/match standard. Is the bench handling test applicable to them? 6. In CSS 15-352-030 Ver 1.0, paragraph 3.16.11 - our calibration kit includes the torque wrenches and spanner. Do we need to move these items into the accessory case or is the current location for these tools acceptable? The Government's responses to these questions are as follows: 1. The official Solicitation Number is N68335-15-R-0155. 2. The numbers on the CLIN table found on page 48 of the Solicitation will be used for the price evaluation of the proposals. The numbers on pages 3-7 reflect the maximum quantities the Government will be ordering. 3. Paragraph 3.3.5: The requirement of non-magnetic connector comes from MIL-PRF-39012, which specifies a permeability of less than 2. The proposed low magnetic connector must meet this requirement. 4. Paragraph 3.4: All 3 following configurations are acceptable. (a) IEEE488 only (b) LAN only (c) both IEEE488 and LAN 5. Paragraph 3.8.6: Yes, it is applicable to the individual components of the mechanical calibration kit. It is the intent of NAVAIR to follow the test method in MIL-PRF 28800 paragraph 4.5.5.4.3 as closely as possible, treating each component as an instrument. 6. Paragraph 3.16.11: If the calibration kit comes in a case which meets the requirements (hard, foam cutout), it can also be used to store any of the accessories in paragraph 3.16.10.
