Description

This is a Pre-solicitation notice. This Pre-solicitation notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. Solicitation, VA246-15-Q-1361, will be issued on or about 25 September 2015. The Department of Veterans Affairs has a need for Medical waste services for the Fayetteville, NC VA Medical Center. This Medical waste service shall include all procedures relative to General Medical Waste. Since all waste is regulated, this waste may be referred to as Regulated Hazardous Waste. This contract includes all General Medical Waste generated by the Medical Center and recyclable materials. The contractor shall transport all units (trailers and containers) filled with General Medical Waste, by methods and procedures that fully comply with all Local, State, and Federal Laws and Regulations. The contractor shall furnish the VA with a fully detailed description and procedural manual of the methodology that will be used to transport, treat and dispose of Medical Waste. This must include all related and applicable permits and licenses. All containers used for storage and transportation of any classification of medical waste or recyclable material must be clearly marked with the Department of Transportation (DOT) permit number This is a 100% Small Business (SB) Set-aside.
