- Government of Georgia (GoG) has received a grant from the Government of the United States through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) toward the cost of the Improved Infrastructure, Economic Opportunities, and Support for Internally Displaced Persons, and intends to apply part of the proceeds of this grant for Construction of Playgrounds for Children in Zugdidi, Senaki, Khoni, Poti, Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Akhalsopeli and Verkhvebi IDP Settlements and Construction of Sport Fields in Khoni, Poti and Tskaltubo IDP Settlements. Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for: "Construction of Playgrounds for Children in Zugdidi, Senaki, Khoni, Poti, Kutaisi, Tskaltubo, Akhalsopeli and Verkhvebi IDP Settlements and Construction of Sport Fields in Khoni, Poti and Tskaltubo IDP Settlements", USAID/W/ICB/01-2015 The Project areas are located: • Zugdidi Town, Zugdidi Municipality, West Georgia, Samegrelo Region, Tbilisi-Zugdidi Central Highway 350 km; • Senaki Town, Senaki Municipality, West Georgia, Samegrelo Region, Tbilisi-Senaki Central Highway 290 km; • Poti Town, Poti Municipality, West Georgia, Samegrelo Region, Tbilisi-Poti Central Highway 334 km; • Town Kutaisi, Kutaisi Municipality, West Georgia, Imereti Region, Tbilisi-Kutaisi Central Highway 225 km; • Town Tskaltubo, Tskaltubo Municipality, West Georgia, Imereti Region, Tbilisi-Kutaisi-Tskaltubo Central Highway 246 km; • Khoni Town, Khoni Municipality, West Georgia, Imereti Region, Tbilisi-Khoni Central Highway 271 km; • Verkhvebi IDP Cottage Settlement, East Georgia, Gori Municipality, Shida Kartli Region, Tbilisi-Gori Highway 80 km; • Akhalsopeli IDP Cottage Settlement, East Georgia, Kareli Municipality, Shida Kartli Region, Tbilisi-Kareli Highway 116 km; Project aims improvement of infrastructure of IDP (Internally Displaced Persons) cottage settlements and collective centers. The proposed works include following: The playgrounds for children will be constructed on Bernadze Str. and Laghidze Str. in Town Zugdidi, in Military Settlement in Town Senaki, in Military Settlement in Town Khoni, on Apkhazeti Str., Guria Str. and Iv. Javakhishvili Str. in Town Poti, on Chavchavadze Str. in Kutaisi City, in Kopitnari Settlement in Town Tskaltubo, IDP Cottage Settlements of Verkhvebi and Akhalsopeli. Sport Fields will be constructed in three Settlements of Khoni, Poti and Tskaltubo. The works in all settlements should be carried out in accordance with the similar, typical design. Main Construction Works are: Playgrounds 1. Earthworks - 319 m3 2. Arranging of ballast layer - 957 m3 3. Arranging of the crushed rock layer - 319 m3 4. Pouring of the concrete slab - 319 m3 5. Installation of the playground equipment - 33 p Sport Fields 1. Site leveling with the bulldozer - 1530 m2 2. Site leveling with ballast - 786 m3 3. Site leveling with crushed rock - 228 m3 4. Arranging of concrete wall around the site - 216 m3 5. Site fencing with the mesh - 1140 m2 6. Arranging of soccer gates and backboards - 12 p The Works must be completed within 2 (two) months after the Start Date. Bidding will be conducted through competitive bidding procedures, and is open to all bidders listed in authorized Geographic Code 937, as defined by USAID source and nationality regulations 22 C.F.R. Part 228 (http://www.gpo.gov/fdsys/pkg/FR-20101-10/html/2011-33240.htm), or 110 (currently the United States, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan) in effect on the date of acquisition. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia (MDF) office at the address below from 10:00 to 18:00 hours. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of GEL 300 (three hundred) or equivalent. The minimum required average annual turnover of construction works for the successful Bidder in the last three years shall be - GEL 7,800,000 2. The minimum amount of liquid assets and/or credit facilities net of other contractual commitments shall be - GEL 1,100,000 Bids must be delivered to the address below no later than 16:00 hours, October 8, 2015, Local Tbilisi time. Late bids will be rejected. The bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of GEL 22,000.00 (Twenty Two Thousand). Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders' representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below at 16:00 hours, October 8, 2015.
