- Synopsis: FY16 Maintenance Dredging Entrance Channels Brunswick and Savannah Harbors, Georgia W912HN-15-B-0004 NAICS: 237990 SIC: 1629 Size Standard: $27.5M This synopsis is for Maintenance Dredging for both the Savannah and Brunswick Entrance Channels, Georgia. This acquisition is an UNRESTRICTED sealed bid solicitation that will result in a Fixed Price Contract Award. The construction magnitude for this project ranges from $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and is anticipated to be available approximately 15 October, 2015. Please note that the bid opening date will be specified in the solicitation when issued. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. Description of Work: Hopper dredge(s) will be required for this work. The dredge(s) must have the capability to dredge fine sands and silts to a depth of -48 MLLW and to transport the dredged sediment up to 15 miles to the dump location. A Quality Control System (QCS) will be required and the dredge(s) will be required to have Dredging Quality Management installed and in operating condition and operating throughout the contract. Twentyfour hour on board environmental monitoring shall be required. On board environmental monitoring will also be required. Dredged material shall be placed in the offshore disposal areas. Disposal shall be within a specific area within the Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS) identified by USACE in conjunction with EPA, Region 4 in order for disposal monitoring to be effective. Environmental restrictions require all hopper dredging to be performed between 15 December and 1 April. NOTE: Any prospective Offeror must register in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://www.sam.gov. After completing SAM registration, interested Contractors and their subcontractors must then register at https://www.fbo.gov in order to obtain solicitation documents, plans and specifications for this solicitation. Contractors that have an existing account should be able to use their existing logins to search for the solicitation number once it is released at www.fedbizopps.gov. It is the Offeror's responsibility to check the Internet address provided as necessary for any amendments that may be posted to this solicitation. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be available. Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.
