Description

This notice is a synopsis of a proposed contract action and not a solicitation. Subsequent solicitation will be posted on FBO.gov and will be a small business set-aside. If your company is a small business for NAICS 721110, and are able to perform the tasks outlined in the description below, contact the Contract Specialist listed in this notification with your information and continue to monitor FBO.gov for subsequent solicitation. Subsequent solicitation will be issued on or around 11/12/2015. Vendor must have an active SAM.gov registration to receive award. Brief Description of Services Required: Contractor shall provide, at a minimum, a AAA certified "two star" accommodation for VA beneficiaries and their caregiver (if applicable). The Contractor must be able to provide lodging within a 2 mile radius of the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center (325 East H St, Iron Mountain, MI). Length of stay will range from one to two nights, but in some cases, may last longer. Most stays will be Sunday-Thursday nights, however, occasionally, rooms may be needed on the weekends. An estimated 18 stays/nights a week or 80 stays/nights a month will be utilized (this is only an estimate and more or less stays may be utilized). The Contractor will not be obligated to honor more than 13 double occupancy rooms per night, at least two of which must be handicap accessible. Room rates shall not include taxes as the VA is exempt from paying taxes. Service animals must be permitted in rooms when applicable.
