- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. This is a market research tool used to determine the availability and adequacy of potential small business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of an award. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought. Military Sealift Command is requesting sources sought to procure the below materials for Ships Service Air Compressor in support of USNS HOWARD LORENZEN. The manufacturer is Ingersoll Rand. The material part number (P/N), description, and quantity are: 1. P/N IRN75H-OF 150W, Compressor, Oil Free, 75 HP, Water Cooled, 150 PSI, 269 CFM Manufacturer / Model: Ingersoll Rand / IRN75H-OF 150W or Equal. Salient Characteristics: Two Stage, Oil Free Air, Rotary Type, Water Cooled W/ Flow Control Valve. Coolers: 1 Intercooler 1 Aftercooler 1 Oil Cooler Lubrication: Sump Capacity 9.2 US Gallons 35 Litre Total Lubrication Capacity 14 US Gallons 53 Liter Oil Filtration Full Capacity Oil Filter, Four (4) Micron Spin on Type Design. A Pressure Relief Valve is to be provided to insure Lubrication Pressure to all Lubricated Areas. Oil-Pump Type an Internal, Positive Displacement, Gear Type, Oil Pump SHALL be provided. The Pump SHALL be Direct Driven Off of the Bull Gear Shaft, Thereby Providing Continuous Positive Lubrication to all Gears and Bearings. Customer Interfaces: Discharge Air Connection 1.5 NPT (inches) Water Inlet and Outlet Connection 1.5 NPT (inches) Condensate Drain Connection (Intercooler) 0.38 NPT (inches) Condensate Drain Connection (Aftercooler) 0.38 NPT (inches) Electrical Power Cable Hole Diameter 2.5 inches 64 MM Nominal Horsepower 75, Hybrid Permanent Magnet, 60 HZ Input Controls: The Compressor Shall be Equipped Manufacturer Supplied Safety Relief Valves (ASME National Board Registered in both the Inter-Stage and Final Discharge Piping. The Compressor SHALL be Equipped with a Check Valve after the Moisture Separator to prevent back flow from the Air System. The Control System SHALL Incorporate High Temperature and Pressure Safety Shutdowns for both Compression Stages. A Power Drive Module (PDM) SHALL be integral to the Unit. The PDM SHALL Contain all the Components Required to Safety Start, Monitor, and Control the Compressor. Capacity and Speed Control SHALL be accomplished through the use of a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Capable of Driving the Permanent Magnet Motor. The VFD and Control System SHALL be used as to Soft Start the Motor as it Ramps-Up to Speed. The Compressor SHALL be equipped with a Microprocessor Controller Capable of Monitoring Essential Operating Parameters and Comparing them against Preprogrammed Limits. The Controller SHALL Automatically Display a Warning and/or Stop the Compressor in the event any Parameter Deviates from its Preprogrammed Limits. The Controller SHALL offer Feedback to the Operator via a Human Machine Interface (HMI) Touch Scree Located in the Machine. Feedback Shall Include but not be Limited to: Display Measured Data Points, Adjustable Operating Parameters Warning and/or Alarm Points. P/N 38465993, Line Reactor Manufacturer: Ingersoll and Size: 460VAC 130 AMPS, Weight 81 LBS. Quantity is 2 each. 3. P/N 23439946, F850NG Filter, Coalescing / Mist Separation Manufacturer/ Model : Ingersoll Rand / NLM500 F850NG Size: 500 CFM this specification describes a filter designed to remove oil and water Liquid /Mists and solid particles from compressed air. I SHALL have Filtering Capability which exceeds the quality standards for instrument air as defined by The Instrument Society of America. Filter must be capable of removing oil and water Liquid/Mist down to.5 PPM by weight. Filters SHALL use both Mechanical and Centrifugal action to remove up to 99% of all Solid Particles and Droplets of water or oil before the air reaches the filter element. The separated contaminates will drop to the bottom of the Filter Housing for discharge through a drain valve. A separate Prefilter and Moisture Separator SHALL NOT be required for the removal of solids and condensate moisture. The Filter Pressure Drop at rated flow SHALL NOT be more than.5 PSIG when element is new and the Maximum Pressure Drop throughout Element Life will not exceed 2 PSI. The expected element life at rated performance conditions should be at least 10 years. Filter to be equipped with a ship loose pressure gage to measure pressure drop across the filter element, and a drain port for connecting optional automatic drain valve. Filter shall be Ingersoll Rand Model F-850NG. Quantity is 2 each. 4. P/N 001, Power Outage Restart Option for IRN75H Compressors. Quantity is 2 each. 5. P/N 002, Stainless Steel Afterfoolers for IRN75H Compressors. Quantity is 2 each. 6. P/N 003, Stainless Steel Oil System Piping for IRN75H Compressors. Quantity is 2 each. All Small businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Certified HUBZone and Certified 8(a) Small Businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government will determine whether a set-aside acquisition in lieu of full and open competition is in the Government's best interest. The appropriate NAICS Code is 333912, Air and Gas Compressors Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees. It is requested that interested small businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities package demonstrating ability to provide the requested items. This document shall address, as a minimum the following: (1) Company Profile to include number of employees, office location(s), DUNS number, CAGE Code and a statement regarding small business designation and status; (2) The facility where the work will be performed (3) Partnership agreements with any large businesses. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government in tailoring requirement to be consistent with industry.
