- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for: an integrating sphere system for sensor characterization that is compatible with fiber-coupled laser light sources. General requirements are high-reflective interior surface for maximum output efficiency and radiance uniformity. The specification are as follows: High-reflectance interior surface, specifically o>98% in the 350-1600 nm spectral range o>95% in the 1600-2500 nm spectral range 30-inches internal diameter >=14-inch diameter viewing area of sphere opposite the exit port that is a continuous surface in order to provide maximum uniformity. 12-inch exit port oreducing adapter to convert to 10-inch port with same high-reflectance surface as sphere interior surface oreducing adapter to convert to 8-inch port with same high-reflectance surface as sphere interior surface Six 2-inch side ports oThree ports with SMA fiber couplers. The interior surface will consist of the highly reflective material that is the same as the rest of the sphere except for the ~-inch diameter hole used for the fiber clear aperture. oThree ports with plugs that are removable by user. These ports will be used for sphere output monitoring radiometers. Height-adjustable mounting stand/platform for sphere that can be rolled into desired position and locked (has wheels that can lock in place) oExit port center height minimum = 66 inches Customized shipping crate for the sphere system compatible with a 10,000-class clean room This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.
