- This Sources Sought Notice/Request for Information is being posted to satisfy the requirement under the Defense Acquisition Regulations Supplement PGI 206.302-1(d). The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to award on a sole source basis to The Parvus Corporation (dba CWDS) for the following manufactured products: Part Number DUNET-30-4948-01, DuraNET 4948 Ruggedized Cisco 4948E Switch, 48+4 Ports. The Parvus Corporation is located in Salt Lake City, UT. Under the authority 10 USC 2304(c) (1), FAR 6.302-1, the government intends to issue a sole source contract to The Parvus Corporation as they are the only source available that sells this ruggedized version of the CISCO Switch. This Ruggedized Switch meets form, fit, and function requirements. Introducing another switch would add additional costs in redevelopment and revalidation efforts that will not be recovered through full and open competition. This is a sole source notice published for informational purposes only and not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit their technical capabilities, which, if received no later than 3:00 PM (EST) on 12 November 2015, shall be considered by NSWCDD. All responses must be submitted to the government point of contact at the email address shown below. Responses must be submitted in writing to the procurement specialist, Andrew Williams, via email at james.williams20@navy.mil no later than the date and time noted above. Email should reference Sources Sought N00178-16-R-2015 in the subject line. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
