Description

ELECTRICAL UPGRADE AT OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY (OSU) AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL TOWER (ATCT) The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified Small Business construction contractors interested in providing offers for the Electrical Upgrade at OSU ATCT. The scope of work is as follows: Work consists of, but is not limited to, the following: 1.Disconnect, Remove and Replace the existing transformers T1and T2 : 120/240 V 75 KVA. Work shall include cables termination, grounding, bond and mounting support. 2.Replace the existing motor of the elevator. This work shall be performed with support and coordination of existing elevator maintenance contractor (KONE) 3.Replace and upgrade the interiors breakers of MDPN1& MDPN2 4.Remove and replace panel boards 5.Other miscellaneous electrical work All work shall be in accordance with NFPA 70 FAA-STD-019e and FAA-C-1217f. The construction site is located at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Ohio State University (OSU) Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT), 2169 W Case Road, Columbus, Ohio 43235 This is an operational air traffic control facility and the Contractor must exercise extreme care working in and around the electronic and environmental equipment. This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Any qualified small business contractor can bid on this project. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 238210 and the Small Business Size Standard is: $15 Mil. The estimated price range of this project is between $50,000 and $150,000. Contract performance time is 60 calendar days. The contractor is expected to perform at least 15% of the work using its own employees. There will be a pre-bid/site visit and the date and time will be determined later. THE SUCCESSFUL OFFER MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO GO CRITERIA: a.The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar amount and scope, on a Life Safety Critical Facility such as a hospital or a similar FAA facility. b.The contractor must have delivered a quality product in the timeframe established by the contract. The contractor must provide the name of the facility where work was performed, contract number, along with a point of contact at the facility and telephone number. This information MUST BE submitted with the request for specifications and plans. The Solicitation Package is expected to be available the week of November 16, 2015. Contractors must submit their request for this package via email no later than 5 PM (CT) by November 9, 2015 and complete and submit the three attached documents: 1. DOCUMENT SECURITY NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE OFFERORS 2. BUSINESS DECLARATION 3. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR THIS SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE. Solicitation packages will be provided only to the first 12 requestors. Contractors must provide name of company, physical mailing address, telephone number and email address.
