- UNCLAS: Dist A Approved for public release Market Survey Questionnaire for M26 Joint Service Transportable Decontamination System - Small Scale (JSTDS-SS) Pump Replacement DESCRIPTION OF INTENT: This request is for information purposes only. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. Also, it is not a request seeking contractors interested in being placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this questionnaire is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to the market survey and any follow-on information requests. Data submitted in response to this market survey will not be returned. No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered. The Government will not pay for information and materials received in response to this Request for Information, and is in no way obligated by the information received. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENT: The purpose of this market survey questionnaire is to obtain information on commercial industry capability to satisfy U.S. Army requirements for a replacement reciprocating pump for the M26 Joint Services Transportable Decontamination System - Small Scale (JSTDS-SS). 1. Description: M26 JSTDS-SS, Pump Replacement The M26 JSTDS-SS is a small scale decontamination system that is powered by a 12 volt diesel engine. The current pump is a two piston/plunger reciprocating pump. Mission: The M26 JSTDS-SS is employed to perform operational and support thorough decontamination operation, but may also be used for clearance missions. Clearance missions are defined as missions that provide the decontamination of equipment and personnel to a level that allows unrestricted transportation, maintenance, employment, and disposal. 2. Users: Department of the Army, Department of the Navy, and the Marine Corps 3. Capabilities: The Government is interested in learning more information about pumps which meet the following requirements: • The pump shall have an operating pressure of approximately 870 psi • The pump shall have a flow rate of approximately 6.4 gal/min • The pump shall be able to pump water and potentially caustic solutions (peracetic acid) • The pump shall be able to be driven by a 5.6 hp motor • The pump shall be controlled by a 12 volt clutch. • The pump shall have a suction height of at least 17 ft. • The pump shall have a maximum inlet water temperature of 120°F. • The pump shall fit within a maximum size envelope of 18 x 11 x 15 in (LxWxH). • The pump shall mount on a plate that is 9.5x8 in. What is your production capability (e.g. how many pumps are you capable of producing per week, per month?) 5. What is the approximate cost of your pump? Please include any bulk pricing breakdowns. 6. If you have produced pumps, what was the extent of product test performed on the pump, for example, temperature extremes and longevity? Please provide any test data. 7. Do you currently have a rebuild program for your pumps? 8. Do you offer spare parts? C. PERFORMANCE CONSIDERATIONS Describe your capability to produce a tow piston pump. D. PACKAGING Describe your company's experience with understanding and satisfying "military packaging" requirements such as MIL-STD-129, Revision P with the addition of special packaging requirements. E. QUALITY 1. Does your plant and system meet all ISO 9001:2008 or equivalent certifications and standards? Provide explanation. 2. If you are ISO 9001:2008 certified or posse equivalent certifications, how long have you been certified? When was your last certification audit?
