- Description
- Draft Performance Work Statement Sources Sought Posting The Air National Guard Air, Space and Cyber Operations Directorate (NGB/A3) is responsible for development, management and oversight of Ranges, Airspace and the Combat Readiness Training Centers (CRTCs). With the ongoing transformation of the DoD, our military missions are fluidly changing into new and varied roles driving evolving training requirements. Additionally, to effectively manage and develop training resources, the ANG must balance operational requirements against the requirements of other stakeholders to include of Department of Defense Agencies, Federal Aviation Administration, commercial and general aviation concerns, citizen planning groups, land management agencies and environmental organizations. As the Air Force and Air National Guard similarly implement these changes, The ATC Airspace and Ranges Division (NGB/A3A) must aggressively monitor, plan, and lead this transformation for the Air National Guard. Developing training space and capabilities to match current and emerging ANG missions provides Air National Guard units and aircrews the environment needed to ensure ready and relevant forces. This contract relies on the ability of the vendor to provide subject matter experts in a broad scope of special use airspace, air gunnery and air to air range operations, range instrumentation and planning for Air National Guard special use airspace and range development and management. The Air National Guard manages two thirds of the military special use airspace in the continental United States, has fourteen air gunnery ranges and six training locations with integrated range instrumentation.
