Description

CONTINUATION PAGE Vendor Questions - 11/20/2015 Q - Is this strictly telephone call for consult or will the physician be carrying a beeper? A - As stated in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) paragraph 3.2.4.1: 3.2.4.1.Contractor shall provide consultative services to VA physicians 24 hours per day, seven days a week. The contractor must be able to respond by response of telephone to emergencies within 20 minutes of being called or paged. Q - If this is not shared call, are they expected to take call every night and every weekend of the period of performance? A - See answer above. Q - If it is beeper call, how do we bill for these services? A - As stated in the Schedule of Services, "(On-Call Services - after-hours telephonic consultation all-inclusive)." Q - For inpatient, the answers to questions state 1-2 inpatients per day and outpatient is flexible. Can we get an approximate number for outpatient? Or even a range (i.e. 15-18 patients per day, etc.)? A - Roughly 6 patients per day so about 30 per week. Currently clinic is only ½ day and the other ½ is spent reading studies and seeing inpatients.
