- Description
- In accordance with FAR 6.302-1, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) anticipates awarding a modification to existing Labor Support contract SP3300-14-C-5002 on a sole source basis to Prolog, Inc requiring labor support to plan, program, manage, and execute efficient and effective receipt processing, storage and warehousing operations, material issue and transportation and shipping in support of Naval Sea Systems Command NAVSEA corporate shipyard customers (e.g., Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) and Naval Station Norfolk (NSN)) for a one (1) month period (1 January 2016 -31 January 2016). FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services is included in the contract, and this modification is exercising the option as specified in that clause. Due to unanticipated acquisition process delays, it has become necessary to modify existing contract SP3300-14-C-5002 to allow for uninterrupted labor support services through January 31 2016. Pursuant to the exception under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii), only Prolog, Inc is capable of providing the services at this time; award to any other source will result in unacceptable delays and cause a disruption to DLA Distribution Norfolk at Portsmouth, Virginia and DLA Maritime Norfolk activities. The modification to current contract SP3100-14-C-5002 will serve as a temporary solution to fulfill immediate mission requirements. Subject J&A will be posted once subject modification is executed. This is not a solicitation for proposals or an invitation for bids. The Government does not anticipate receiving responses to this notice of a non-competitive action.
