Description
This sources sought is hereby amended to correct the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code. The correct NAICS code for this requirement is 332312 Fabricated Structural Metal Manufacturing because procurement is the majority of this prospective requirement. This sources sought is for the purposes of market research purposes only and is not a solicitation. See the below requirement details, information regarding closing date, and process for submitting a capability statement. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Middle East District (TAM) is seeking preliminary information, for market research purposes only, from capable and reliable sources who may be interested in submitting a proposal for the procurement, installation and, repair of various elements of the ship lift and rail transfer yard at Kuwait Naval Base (known locally as Mohammed Al Ahmed Naval Base) in southern Kuwait. The scope of this action includes: •· Procurement of a new primary wheeled transfer carriage, with approximate dimensions of 7.5m x 60m. •· Procurement of a new secondary wheeled transfer carriage, with approximate dimensions of 7.5m x 32m. •· Replacement of the wooden planks and rails which comprise the deck of the ship lift. The ship lift deck dimensions are approximately 18m x 102m. •· Replacement of the rails in the main transfer passage between the ship lift and the primary transfer carriage (approximately 75m of a four-rail section). •· Replacement of rails in the eastern dry dock area. The eastern dry dock has six (6) two-rail sections, each approximately 45m in length. •· Replacement of rails in the western dry dock area. The western dry dock has four (4) four-rail sections, three of which are approximately 85m in length and one which is approximately 125m in length. •· Minor repairs to the rails and repair/replacement of various rail accessories (anchor bolts, rail clips, nuts, joint bars, etc.) in the transfer yard, including minor foundation repairs. Photographs of many of these elements have been provided as attachments to this request. Interested parties should provide a capabilities statement which demonstrates the ability to procure, ship, deliver, and install and/or replace the elements listed above. If a solicitation is released at a later date, a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) services and supply contract type is being considered. The Period of Performance is anticipated to be 365 calendar days. Interested parties should provide information with regard to their particular company to include company name, organizational chart, address, point of contact, email address, phone number, and fax number.
