- Please note the original announcement for W15QKN-15-R-0040 was posted in FedBizOpps on 18 August 2015. W15QKN-15-R-0040 has changed to W15QKN-16-R-0021. All mention of W15QKN-15-R-0040 shall now apply to W15QKN-16-R-0021. The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey, on behalf of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Technology Division, Picatinny Detachment, intends to issue a sole source acquisition for a one year Firm Fixed Price production contract for 57mm MK 295 Mod 0 High Explosive, Pre-Fragmented, Programmable, Proximity Fuzed (HE-3P) ammunition for the United States Navy (USN) for Navy MK 110 Gun Mounts in support of the Program Executive Officer Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), Surface Ship Weapons Directorate (3), Naval Gunnery Project Office (C). The U.S. Army Contracting Command - New Jersey intends to award to BAE Systems Land & Armaments L.P - L&A Minneapolis (BAE Systems) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(B), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. This is a pre-solicitation notice and the Government anticipates that a formal solicitation will be issued on or about 31 January 2016. All information is to be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. The NAICS code for this effort is 332993 and the small business sized standard is 1,000 employees. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
