- Description
- NASA/AFRC has a requirement for quantity 1, LiDAR Sensor, brand name or equal to Velodyne VLP-16; and quantity 1, data analysis software (Hypack Max and Hysweep) brand name or equal to Hypack. The LiDAR sensor must comply with the requirements stated in the attached Q-1, section A document. To be considered equal, the LiDAR must have the following minimum salient charactistics: *Minimum 16 lasers *Weight - less than 2 pounds *Power - less than 10 watts *Class 1 eye safe laser *Range and Range Error - 100 meters, with less than 30mm error at 100 meter range *Minimum field of view - 360 degrees horizontal, +/- 15 degrees vertical *Minimum resolution - 0.01 degrees horizontal, 2 degrees vertical To be considered equal, the acquisition/analysis software must have the following minimum salient characteristics: *Compatability with proposed LiDAR *Geodetic Parameters and Utilities *Single Beam Latency *Preparation Editors *HYPACK Survey or Comparable *Single Beam Editor *EXPORT Program *HYPLOT *TIN MODEL *Multibeam Data Collection *Multibeam Data Processing *MB Performance Test and Calibration *Geocoder If quoting an "equal" item, please provide appropriate product literature to make a technical assessment. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.g ov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin=. The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Questions regarding this acquisition must be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferred) no later than COB 12/08/2015. It is the quoter's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential quoters will be responsible for downloading their own copy of this notice, the on-line RFQ and amendments (if any). NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
