Description
Presolicitation Notice with Project Area Map THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE BEING RELEASED PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATION (FAR) PART 36.213-2 PRESOLICITATION NOTICES. This Presolicitation Notice is issued solely for informational, market research, and planning purposes only. It does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This Presolicitation Notice does not commit the Government to a binding contract. Further, the Government is not at this time seeking proposals, and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondents are advised that the Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Presolicitation Notice. All costs associated with responding to this Presolicitation Notice will be solely at the responding party's expense. Not responding to this Presolicitation Notice does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Presolicitation Notice Objective: The purpose of this Presolicition Notice is to give contractors an opportunity to visit the project site before inclement weather prohibits access. The Government plans to post the solicitation package and may make an award. No formal site visit is schedule for this project. The project is located on the Tally Lake Ranger District of the Flathead National Forest, Flathead County, Montana. It can be reached from Whitefish, MT by turning north on Baker Ave off of Hwy 93. Take Baker Ave. 0.39 miles then if becomes Wisconsin Ave. After 1.40 miles Wisconsin Ave turns into E. Shore Drive and heads west for 6.24 miles until you reach Upper Whitefish Road on the right and is a gravel road. Travel north on Upper Whitefish Road for 5.50 miles to NFS Road 9790. This project involves reconstruction of 10.5 miles of Level 3 forest road and hourly heavy equipment rental for reconstruction of a Level 1 forest road. Please see attached map for location. This project is for reestablishing the native surface by roto-milling approximately 5.5 miles of NFS Road 9790 to the junction with a private gated road on the right. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilizing equipment, reconditioning the existing road, installing metal pipe, constructing drain dips, brushing, and all other incidental items necessary to complete the project in accordance with the plans and specifications. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies (other than for those listed as Government-furnished items) and supervision necessary to complete the work according to the contract. As stated above, funds are not currently available for this project and by placing a notice in Federal Business Opportunities; it does not commit the Government in making an award on this project. It is estimated the solicitation package will be available approximately on January 28, 2016 and should be downloaded from this website at that time. No hard copies will be mailed out. Please check the website for amendments issued on this project. The work is estimated to begin April 11, 2016 and completed by August 31, 2016 which is approximately 142 calendar days.
