Description
Service Maintenance for Autotransfusion Systems and Portable Perfusion Pump Systems Intent to Award Sole Source: Medtronic, Inc. THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Medtronic, Inc. 710 Medtronic Pkwy. Minneapolis, MN 55432-5604 The objective of this sole source award is to procure Service Maintenance (base year plus three (3) option years) on government owned Medtronic Autotransfusion Systems and Portable Perfusion Pump Systems. Sole source is based on OEM-certified parts and labor in order to ensure critical devices work optimally as intended by the manufacturer. All equipment noted has some maintenance that is "manufacturer-required", and can only be performed by a Medtronic-certified technician, due to the complexity of the equipment in question, and due to patient safety factors and liability issues. Service maintenance must meet the service expectation as outlined in the attached statement of work. Due to the OEM-certified service nature of this equipment, no other company was found that could provide maintenance should a problem arise. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811219; the small business size standard is $20.5 million. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 10:00 AM Pacific Time on December 14, 2015 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Merlinda M. Labaco at merlinda.m.labaco.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, "Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Autotransfusion/Perfusion Pump System " A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED
