Description

The Rayburn House Office Building (RHOB) is a ten story office building with a total floor gross area of approximately 2.4 million square feet, completed in early 1965. The work of this requirement is the rehabilitation of the RHOB Garage which is a five story, below grade, interior garage structure with a gross area of approximately 924,300SF. The construction will be conducted in four phases, with phase one as the base-bid and phases 2, 3 and 4 as options, including the plaza level above phase 1. Construction will commence in 2016 and will be completed in 2021. The parking garage slab structure was designed to utilize electric powered hydro-demolition process to mitigate dust, extreme noise conditions. Rehabilitation will also include the replacement of electrical system, electrical lighting, sprinkler system, fire alarm system, plumbing system and mechanical ventilation system. The AOC is seeking a speciality contractor to perform this scope of work. The RFP is expected to be released by end of December 2015 or mid January 2016. Magnitude of construction is $100M to $125M.
