Description

VA NY/NJ Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN3) intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with OVID TECHNOLOGIES (a unit of Wolters Kluwers Health). OVID TECHNOLOGIES maintains the exclusive technology and platform for these products that is currently being used by all VISN3 affiliated institutions and is the sole source to provide access to their unique databases and full text journal material required by our healthcare providers. This proposed contract action is for subscriptions to JAMA, PsychInfo, Medline, HAPI and the Lippincott Williams & Wilkins (LWW) Total Access Collection as provided exclusively by Ovid for use by the multiple VA Medical Centers of VISN3. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed period of the contract will be for a base year and 4 option years. NAICS Code 519120 Libraries and Archives applies to this procurement.
