- The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a Sole Source firm-fixed price contract to Milestone Inc, 25 Controls Drive Shelton, CT 06484 to procure a maintenance plan for a Milestone Ultraclave Microwave Digestion System. Technical specifications for service agreements include the following in accordance with the manufacturer's performance specifications: • Service contract must cover all non-consumable items and parts supplied, including base instrument and controller. • Service contract must be for a minimum of 1 calendar year. • Service contract work must be performed by an authorized Milestone Inc. representative, not a third party vendor. • Service contract must include one preventive maintenance visit. • All replacement parts must be genuine Milestone Inc. parts. • All replacement parts must be new not refurbished. • The service contract must provide unlimited on-site service visits with a maximum 72 hour on-site response time. • Upgrade must include genuine Milestone Inc. parts • Service representative must provide documentation of all repairs and maintenance performed at time of service Milestone Inc. is the sole source for the Ultraclave Microwave digestion in the United States of America. Milestone Inc. is the only vendor from which the above mentioned services can be purchased. Milestone Inc. is the only authorized service center for the Ultraclave Microwave Digestion System. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. Capability statements must be received by the response date and time of this notice. Submissions will be reviewed to determine if they can meet the requirement. A determination by the Government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. It is anticipated that an award will be issued to Milestone Inc. within approximately fifteen (15) days after the date of this notice unless the Government determines that any other organization has the capacity to meet this requirement.
