- The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center (JSC) plans to conduct an Industry Day for the Aircraft maintenance, Logistics, Integration, Configuration management, and Engineering (ALICE) procurement. NASA/JSC is hereby soliciting firms to attend this event on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at Ellington Field in Houston, Texas. The presentation to industry will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. in the Building 273 Conference Room at Ellington Field. One-on-one communication opportunities will be scheduled from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M on January 21, 2016. In addition, tours of the applicable facilities at Ellington Field will be made available from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Please note that tours will be scheduled to ensure that they do not interfere with an attendees one-on-one session. If necessary, additional time for one-on-one communications will be made available on January 22. ALICE Summary ALICE includes support for JSC aircraft based at Ellington Field in Houston and El Paso, Texas. Additional support will be provided to NASA aircraft located at Langley Research Center (LaRC), Hampton, Virginia and other sites, domestic and foreign, where services are required. Aircraft to be supported by ALICE include: * Eighteen Northrop T-38 supersonic jet trainers * Three General Dynamics WB-57 aircraft * One Aero Spacelines SGT-337 Super Guppy * One Gulfstream GIII aircraft * One Cessna 206 * One Cirrus Design SR-22 * One HU-25 Falcon Jet * One King Air B-200 * One UC-12B A requirement summary for the ALICE acquisition is provided on the ALICE website at https://prod.nais. nasa.gov/cgibin/eps/synopsis.cgi?acqid=168380 GOALS: The goals of Industry Day are to: 1. Provide information on the current Aircraft Operations and Maintenance Support (AMOS) contract. 2. Promote competition on the proposed new ALICE acquisition. 3. Share the Governments current vision and objectives pertaining to the new acquisition. 4. Allow NASA/JSC to better utilize industry input to improve the future Request for Proposal (RFP). Industry Day is open to all firms that are interested in pursuing contracting/subcontracting opportunities on the ALICE procurement whether they have performed work at JSC or not. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. No photos or recording devices are permitted during the Industry Day presentation, one-on-one sessions or facility tours. A 45 minute open Question and Answer Session will follow the presentation. ONE-ON-ONE SESSIONS: To facilitate interactive communications with industry, NASA personnel will also be available for private in person or teleconference meetings with individual companies in conjunction with Industry Day. The purpose of these meetings is to provide industry with the opportunity to better understand the existing requirements under ALICE and to allow industry an opportunity to provide input related to the ALICE procurement. The meetings are intended to be question and answer sessions in which neither side will be making a formal presentation. Any company may request a one-on-one meeting. Meetings will not exceed 30 minutes in length and attendance is limited to four persons. Scheduling of appointment times will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Appointments will be scheduled in 30 minute increments between 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M on January 21 in designated rooms located at Ellington Field. Guidance for conduct during the one-on-one communications is attached to this posting as Attachment 1: One-on-one Communications with Industry Guidance. Tours of Ellington Field will be made available during the afternoon of January 21. Attendance is limited to four persons per company. Tours will start at the Building 273 Conference Room located at Ellington Field and will be conducted on foot. Note that tours of the NASA Ellington Field flight facilities require closed toe shoes, with no high heels permitted. Companies/teams will be assigned to specific tours and times. Tours will be scheduled so as not to overlap with any one-on-one meetings. Companies will be notified on or before January 20 of their assigned tour time. Please note that all attendees must be United States citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR). Additionally, any special time requests for site visit tours with justification will only be accommodated as practical. All reservations must be received no later than 4:00 p.m. CDT on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. A confirmation email will be sent to acknowledge your reservation on or before Tuesday, January 19, 2016. DIRECTIONS TO BUILDING 273 CONFERENCE ROOM AT ELLINGTON FIELD: As you are heading South on I-45, take the exit and turn left at Farm-To-Market Rd 2553 N/Scarsdale Blvd. Proceed on Farm-To-Market Rd 2553 N/Scarsdale Blvd until you come to Old Galveston Rd/Highway 3. Turn Right on Old Galveston Rd/Highway 3 and proceed on until you reach Brantley Ave. Turn left on Brantley Ave. and Ellington Field will be on your right.Once you arrive proceed to the Post 18 Guard station located at the front of NASA Ellington Field Facility and provide your credentials. Enter the front gate and Building 273 will be on your immediate left.
