Description
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to negotiate a one-time, sole source, fixed price contract with Anasazi Instruments, Inc., 4101 Cashard Ave Ste 103, Indianapolis, Indiana for the purpose of procuring a 90 MHz Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) instrument. Based on market research, and Government end-users, it has been determined that only the Eft-90 meets all the FBI's requirements stated below and Anasazi Instruments, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and distributer of this product. Requirements: 1. The system must have a solid state magnet that does not require external cooling water, a recirculator, or internal cryogenics to regulate the magnet temperature. 2. The system must have a ¹H frequency of 90 MHz or greater. 3. The system must have a magnet strength of 2 Tesla or larger. 4. The system must have the ability to obtain ¹³C spectra with a frequency above 20 MHz. 5. The system must have the ability to obtain two dimensional spectra of both the correlation spectroscopy (COSY) and heteronuclear correlation (HETCOR) variety as well as the ability to run T₁, T₂ kinetics. 6. The system must be able to obtain distortionless enhancement by polarization transfer (DEPT) ¹³C spectra at 45, 90 and 135°. 7. The system must use standard 5 mm NMR tubes 8. The system must have the option to spin the sample in the NMR coils. 9. The system must come with all associated software and hardware to run the instrument. 10. The system must include delivery, installation, training, and a warranty. The FBI intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Emailed responses will only be considered. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is at the discretion of the Government.
