Description

Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Northern Indiana Health Care System (NIHCS) Marion, IN campus, located at 1700 East 38th Street, Marion, IN 46953-4568, is soliciting and intends to award a firm fixed price contract for Reference Lab Testing Services in support of VA NIHCS. NAICS Code for this acquisition is 621511, size standard $32.5 million. The Government intends, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements), to negotiate on a sole source basis with Laboratory Corporation of America, 231 Maple Ave., Burlington, NC 27215 for this procurement. The Contractor shall provide all supplies, materials, labor, knowledge, techniques supervision, test equipment, and transportation necessary to perform the reference lab tests requested by the VA NIHCS Marion Campus, for the period of January 1, 2016 through March 31, 2016 in strict accordance with the statement of work, all schedules, and terms and conditions of the resultant contract. This notice is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received NLT 3:00 pm EST on December 29, 2015. No telephonic inquiries or mailed responses will be accepted. All responses must be e-mailed to Network 11 Contracting Officer assigned this acquisition, Mr. Jared Tritle, at Jared.Tritle@va.gov.
