- This is a Sources Sought Notice only. It is not a solicitation announcement. This notice is for market research purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal/Quotation, and is not considered to be a commitment by the Government to award a contract nor will the Government pay for any information provided. This market research tool is being utilized to determine the availability of potential sources who can perform the following work: Port and Starboard helicopter hangars on the USCGC Stratton require modifications to allow for fitment of the Navy H60. Modifications will include adding / modifying tie down locations, minor and major structural and ventilation system modification, and relocation of non essential items inside hangars. Pursuant to FAR Part 10 (Market Research), the purpose of this notice is to: (1) Determine if sources capable of satisfying the agency's requirements exists. (2) Determine if commercial items suitable to meet the agency's needs are available or could be modified to meet the agency's requirements. (3) Determine the commercial practices of company's engaged in providing the needed service or supply. Pursuant to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 19, competition and set-aside decisions may be based on the results of this market research. This notice in no way obligates the Government to any further action. After review of the responses to this sources sought notice, and the Government plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the Federal Business Opportunities. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 333611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. At this time, the USCG DOES NOT have an estimated time frame for the release of a solicitation It is anticipated that a firm fixed-priced contract will be awarded with an estimated period of performance of May 2, 2016 through June 10, 2016. Place of performance will be at the cutter's home port at Coast Guard Island, Alameda CA. Interested parties must submit the following: (a) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this requirement as a prime contractor. (b) Company name, business size status (i.e., small, large, 8(a), SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.), DUNS Number. (c) Capability to perform work (d) Past performance information to demonstrate successful completion as a prime contractor of projects similar in scope and complexity to the work item above. Include contract numbers, project titles, project description, dollar amounts (award and final values), references with email addresses and telephone numbers. At least two references are requested, but more are desirable. Responses are limited to no more than fifteen (15) pages and are due no later than 1:00 p.m. Pacific time, January 12, 2016.
