Description
Class Justification and Approval 10-1476 The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) delivery order inclusive of options under NAVAIR BOA N00019-11-G-0015 to BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration, Nashua, NH, to provide engineering and test support to integrate the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System II (APKWS II) on the AV-8B Harrier, an objective platform. This acquisition was pursued on a sole source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." Award to any other source would result in unacceptable cost, schedule, and programmatic risks to the APKWS II AV-8B platform integration. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This award notice is published for informative purposes. GENERAL INFORMATION: BAE Systems is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of APKWS II guidance section, and as such, is the only known source available with the requisite knowledge, experience, and technical data to produce the requirements described herein to satisfy the Government's requirement on a timely basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the supplies anticipated needed herein is 336414.
